About Us
Green Hills Capital Partners LLC (GHCP) is a strategic advisory and merchant banking firm focused on Africa and other frontier markets. We unlock proprietary investment opportunities in challenging geographies by bridging the gaps between local businesses and international capital providers.

GHCP cultivates long-term partnerships with entrepreneurs, private companies and investors in our target markets to identify and unlock new opportunities, raise equity and debt capital, drive business growth and develop mutually-beneficial exit strategies.
On a selective basis, we also provide direct financing and make private equity investments in our client companies alongside other co-investors.

Our Team
GHCP was established in 2018 by a small group of partners with deep capital raising, private investment and operational experience across Africa. Our team has decades of combined investment experience from leading international firms including BlackIvy Group, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Credit Suisse, Technoserve and Renaissance Capital, Standard Chartered Bank.

We thrive working in challenging geographies, having successfully executed deals in jurisdictions like the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Cambodia, Liberia, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nigeria, the Philippines, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.​

We have also been fortunate to work across a uniquely broad spectrum of deals – from small convertible notes for start-up companies to large project finance and private equity investments in infrastructure – and with a wide variety of investor types, including individuals and family offices, impact investors, commercial private equity and debt funds, and development finance institutions.
We aim to devote our time, skills and relationships towards a selective, highly focused set of clients and investors who share our values and who appreciate our brand of hands-on, patient and collaborative engagement.
Over the past decade, GHCP’s team members have completed more than 50 transactions as mandated advisors or principle investors totalling more than US$15 billion in new investments across the global emerging and frontier markets.
